Wild At Heart Owls

Wild At Heart is a volunteer organization dedicated to the conservation and preservation of Arizona's native Birds of Prey. We rescue and rehabilitate injured, ill, and orphaned owls, hawks, eagles, falcons, and turkey vultures for release when at all possible. We relocate displaced burrowing owls, have a captive breeding program for the endangered Cactus Ferruginous Pygmy Owl, and conduct free education outreach programs for all ages and members of the public.

Wild At Heart has a direct impact on providing immediate help for the thousands of concerned citizens that call our rescue line 24/7. We answer our phone and will send a rescue and transport volunteer to pick up a bird in need if the finders are unable to bring to us. We also provide information to ALL those that calls us, with the majority of our calls dealing with small birds, waterfowl, and mammals that we do not rehabilitate by giving critical care information and where to take that animal/bird to. We also provide educational outreach programs, both onsite and offsite, with live education raptors that engage school aged students to senior citizens. Our volunteer program allows youth volunteers as young as 10 to volunteer. We provide service learning for youth groups - including boy and girl scouts, high school and college groups, civic organizations, and businesses for volunteer work days.
