Your Organization’s Information
1. When you register, you agree that all information entered into EarthGives.org is accurate and correct to the best of your knowledge. (Please double check bank account and routing information so the transfer of the dollars you raise is not delayed. If checks are required, make sure the address needed to send it to is accurate, especially when using a fiscal sponsor.)
2. Notify Earth Gives (and support@mightycause.com) immediately if any change to your status or operations occurs that impacts its standing as a 501(c)(3) organization. This would include changes involving a significant reduction in operations, a change in its Public Charity Status or fiscal sponsorship, or if the Internal Revenue Service proposes to revoke the organization’s Section 501(c)(3) status.
3. You agree that EG may remove your profile from EarthGives.org at its sole discretion at any time.
4. You understand that you are solely responsible for your organization’s profile page and any associated fundraising pages that can be set up by you and/or volunteers working to raise money on your behalf, and that EG has no responsibility for the content of such pages. This means you can approve or take down any page fundraising for your organization.
5. You agree that the EG and EGD may identify your organization by name and online donation results in various promotional materials.
6. You understand that the EG and EGD have the right to use for its own purposes all data entered into EarthGives.org. These purposes may include, but may not be limited to, analyzing trends, understanding results, and assessing patterns.
7. You are responsible for keeping your bank account and routing number updated within your profile page. If changes occur and you don’t update your bank information, it could result in a delay in receiving your funds. (Special note: we all can walk our talk in more ways than one. 8. You understand that EG will not share or sell donor information to any other organization or third party, nor will MightyCause, as the Earth Gives platform provider. EG does reserve the right to communicate with donors for the purpose of user surveys, general communication, and general education about philanthropy, Earth Gives Day and associated events and issues related to climate and the environment. EG also may share special offers and messages from significant sponsors of the event.
9. You agree to maintain the accuracy of your information, to participate in user surveys, to provide information on matching gifts received in relation to EGD, and to use EarthGives.org in the spirit in which it was created.
10. You agree to maintain integrity in the use of match funds and checks that are received and added as part of the Earth Gives campaign. These additions must have come to you for Earth Gives Day and during the campaign timeframe to quality for additional matching or Prize Funds for your organization.
11. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with materials sent to you. That might include emails and other electronic communications. A comprehensive Earth Gives marketing toolkit is provided for participants and can be used for your own messaging, promotions, and outreach. Many of the items shared with you can be branded with your own logo and unique URL link to send people directly to your Earth Gives profile page to make a donation. Unique URLs are also available to each peer-to-peer fundraiser page and Company Giving pages.
