THIS! is What We Did is our answer to "The Ultimate Question," "What did you do to fight climate change?"
We know that, as of 2024, 66% of Americans rarely or never discuss climate change with family and friends. We believe action begins with conversations.
Our cornerstone program is Effective Climate Conversations. We incorporate teaching, practice, debriefing, and refinement over a course of three sessions. Graduates are invited to our monthly "Climate Conversation Corps" meetings, where we continue to grow our skills.
Additional on-ramps for effective action include our Climate Literacy Quiz, Move Your Money training (both small group and individual office hours) to help folks shift funds from climate-bad banks, an "Anxiety into Action, Helping Young People Cope with Climate Anxiety" workshop and a three-part film series, "The Week", which brings together neighbors, families, faith groups, etc. to learn about the climate crisis, understand the causes, and effective ways to take action. Our trained and skilled volunteers teach all classes and workshops. All classes, as well as our Speaker's Bureau, are offered without charge.
