At Urban Farming Education (UFE), we are not just educators, engineers, and agricultural specialists. We are problem solvers, system changers, and capacity builders. Our
team come s from diverse fields, including PreK-12 and university education, engineering, agriculture , a n d community gardening. While we each bring expertise from our respective
disciplines , we share a common vision: to challenge and transform the very systems that have failed to create sustainable solutions or food security , STEM education , and climate resilience.
We refuse to operate within broken structures that continue to produce inequitable
outcomes. Instead, we ask:
- How do we build capacity to address these issues at their roots?
- How can we help grow food in ways that restore ecosystems, not degrade them?
- How do we create widespread understanding of the deep connections between agriculture, climate change, and sustainability?
We choose to do this work because we see the urgent need for a new approach . The current systems-whether in education , agriculture , or environmental policy-are not working. We are building something different: an integrated , community- driven movement.
