Acerca de esta organización
We believe in nature's right to exist and thrive. We act on this belief with compassion and courage by preserving and protecting the wild world across the American West. Founded in 1989, WildEarth Guardians has a long history of conservation successes protecting ancient forests, free-flowing rivers, other threatened landscapes, and imperiled wildlife. We envision an American West where rivers, native wildlife, and world-class wildlands are protected and secured and we rely on a potent combination of education, scientific analysis, public advocacy, and litigation to make that happen.
We operate three major programs--Wildlife, Wild Places, and Climate & Health--bringing people, science, and the law together in defense of the American West. With a proven track record of success, we will continue to lead conservation efforts across the West at this critical time.
Guardians has more than 207,000 members, e-activists, and followers who support our work, the majority of whom live in the 11 western states. Guardians has offices in Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington and our 34-person staff includes lawyers, policy experts, scientists, and more.
