Conservation Legacy is a national nonprofit that has been engaging young adults, recent graduates, and veterans in conservation service since 1998. Our work is rooted in local needs but reaches across the country, giving people the chance to gain real experience while making a difference in their communities. Crews and individual members take on projects that restore trails, plant native species, reduce wildfire risks, preserve cultural sites, and improve access to public lands. Each year, more than 2,300 participants contribute over 1.3 million hours of service, and many go on to continue this work as a career. These efforts not only improve the health of our lands and waters but also support the personal and professional growth of our members, many of whom come from underserved or rural communities. By creating career pathways and working closely with Tribal Nations and local partners, Conservation Legacy is building a lasting impact healthy lands and resilient communities that benefit all of us.
