We envision a world where solution-based climate change education has transformed community thought and practice resulting in empowered and healthy local communities.

While no single solution is enough to fix climate change, Communitopia has learned that by engaging in locally-focused, community-based solutions, immense progress is possible! Lasting change takes bold leaders of all ages working in collaboration across sectors to equitably transition to a fossil free world.

Communitopia builds climate literacy and empowers students, teachers and community members to take action on climate change with tangible results at the local level. Annually, we work with over 100 local educators in Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh, and over 500 students.
