Acerca de esta organización

Native Nuclear works not only to educate, but to organize. We host nationwide community workshops detailing the collaborative siting of used nuclear fuel to provide an opportunity for tribal communities to come together, share knowledge, and shape a collective vision for energy sovereignty. As we continue these meetings and expand our collective of Native partners, we help develop a workforce led by Native professionals so that Indigenous communities have a say in their energy future.
Currently, we work directly with over 20 tribes, and our programs are actively supported by dozens of Native-led nonprofits, professionals, and youth. We aim to expand our network by training tribal liaisons and providing open-source materials so that any tribe can initiate their own siting conversations with confidence and control.
Our nonprofit team is also in the process of developing a Native Advisory Council comprised of tribal leaders, Indigenous engineers, and grassroots advocates to guide our strategic direction. We do not define success solely by technological implementation, but by how well our work upholds Indigenous governance, traditional knowledge, and tribal self-determination.
