Liberty Wildlife

About this Organization

Liberty Wildlife is a volunteer-driven, wildlife rehabilitation organization, with a national impact. We nurture nature through expert medical rehabilitation - annually reaching approximately 10,000 animals brought to us ill, injured or orphaned. Over 500,000 individuals (including many K-12 school children) benefit from our high-quality environmental education programs, classroom visits, field trips to our campus, an Emmy award-winning documentary film, and community presentations. We offer conservation services to the community and demonstrate best practice for sustainability at our LEED Platinum-certified campus and park-like setting on a reclaimed gravel pit mine. And finally, formed in 2010, our Non-Eagle Feather Repository was a pilot project in partnership with U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, to conserve wildlife and preserve culture. It has now shipped nearly 7,000 feather orders to Native Americans from 256 tribes located in 46 states. All these programs are oriented to prevent human-wildlife conflict, promoting appreciation of nature, and to preserve Native American cultural heritage that respects the role and importance of wildlife in our lives and in our world.
