Tennessee Alliance for Progress

TAP's mission is to enable people to participate in building a prosperous, just and sustainable Tennessee. We contribute to this effort by supporting and developing a new generagion of grassroots leadership across Tennessee. We believe the climate crisis is a defining issue of our time - and place our emphasis on the work of climate, energy and environmental justice.

We convene Climate Nashville - a leading local network of climate advocacy and educational organizations. We also support grassroot advocacy in Memphis and Chattanooga.

We have recently hosted the launch of "Rooted in Peace: Climate Justice in the tradition of Gandhi and King." Well attended workshops have been held in Memphis and Chattanooga focusing on nonviolent direct action and alternative economics. The workshops were planned by local partner organizations focusing on underserved communities. We are planning a similar workshop in the Knoxville area.

We also host innovative Art and Activism events.
