Third Act elders know the importance of this moment. We’ve seen what happens when Big Tech goes unregulated. 

Third Act and our partners are calling on local, state, and national legislators to halt the rapid, unchecked building of hyperscale data centers. Passing timely moratoria at the state and local levels will afford us the necessary time to get it right before irreparable harm is done to the environment and the economy.. 

Solar Advocates Project

The Solar Advocates Project mobilizes informed cadres of Third Actors within their communities to support specific solar and battery storage projects where local support can be make-or-break—notably at hearings and meetings where supporters can show up and influence the outcome.

Simplify Solar

Across America, outdated and inconsistent local rules still make solar more expensive here than in other countries. It doesn’t have to be this way. There are proven, ready-made solutions to streamline local solar rules—cutting red tape, saving money, and speeding up the clean energy revolution. Third Act Working groups are introducing SolarAPP+ to their municipalities to help break the log jams in the permitting process.
