Wildlife for All

A nonprofit organization

Our mission is to reform state wildlife management in the U.S. to be more democratic, just, compassionate and focused on protecting wild species and ecosystems: Democratic - Because wildlife is held in the public trust and everyone should have a voice in wildlife decisions. Just - Because wild animals deserve to be treated fairly as members of the community of life. Compassionate - Because wild animals are sentient beings worthy of our empathy and respect. Focused on ecological health - Because of the urgent need to protect species and ecosystems in the face of a global extinction crisis.

Wildlife for All is building something bold - a Leadership Academy to equip diverse, passionate advocates with the skills and knowledge to transform state wildlife policy.

We know that lasting change for wolves, grizzlies, and all wildlife requires leaders who understand both the science and the politics - and who can bring communities together for solutions rooted in democracy, justice, and compassion.

Wildlife for All takes a systems-change approach by targeting the root of many environmental injustices: who holds power in wildlife and land-use decision-making. Unlike traditional conservation groups, we don't just fight policy symptoms-we organize communities to reform the decision-making structures themselves. Our unique strategy combines grassroots leadership development, policy advocacy, and narrative change to democratize state wildlife governance. By launching a Leadership Academy focused on frontline communities-especially BIPOC, Tribal, rural, and working-class-we are cultivating a movement of organizers who can lead long-term campaigns that align conservation with justice, resilience, and equity.

Testimonials

Thanks to a generous supporter, every gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $15,000. That means your $50 becomes $100, your $250 becomes $500 - doubling your impact for wildlife and the people who will protect it.

"I'm matching every gift to Wildlife for All because I believe in empowering the next generation of wildlife leaders. This movement is still small and needs to grow, and the training provided will help new advocates become stronger, more effective, and more articulate."
- M. Zellweger, Wildlife for All supporter
