Mothers Out Front

No mother should have to worry about the air her child breathes, the water her family drinks, or the future they will inherit. Mothers Out Front is a movement of mothers and caregivers, united by the love we have for our children and a shared desire for a liveable climate. Since 2013, Mothers Out Front has been building the power of moms and caregivers to take action and transform unjust systems so all children can live, play, and learn in a healthy climate. By supporting community-based teams, we help moms turn the overwhelming challenge of climate change into concrete local victories - from stopping new gas plants and pipelines to advancing clean energy solutions.

WHY MOMS? WHY NOW?

There is no more powerful force for change than mothers fighting to protect their children. Moms have always been on the frontlines-organizing in neighborhoods, at schools, within their families, and in civic spaces. They are the backbone of our communities, the moral compass in moments of crisis, and the ones who refuse to look away when our children's futures are on the line.

In a world flooded with disinformation and division, moms cut through the noise with clarity, compassion, and conviction. Moms are natural organizers-and when we turn that power toward climate justice, we don't just raise awareness. We shift culture. We change laws. We transform systems.

KEY CAMPAIGNS:

Sustainable Schools, Resilient Communities: Advancing climate justice campaigns at the level of the schools and community buildings where our children spend much of their time;

Moms v. Methane: Working to accelerate the transition from fossil fuels, from blocking pipelines to building decarbonization;

Make Polluters Pay: Holding the fossil fuel industry accountable for the climate catastrophes they have created.
