The Northern Colorado Wildlife Center, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, operates a wildlife hospital and education center. One of our core principles is to provide equal access to our services for all community members. As part of this commitment, we do not charge people to drop off new patients with us, and we offer 95% of our educational services free of charge. This ensures that finances do not hinder anyone from receiving education or preventing an animal from receiving the necessary help. However, this also means that the wildlife center is responsible for covering the costs associated with feeding, medicating, enriching, and caring for these animal patients while they recover before release. It is our dedication to ensuring the well-being of wildlife that compels us to shoulder these expenses, as we believe that every animal deserves the chance to recover and thrive.
When I found an injured goose in my backyard, I reached out to multiple organizations for help, but no one was available. The Northern Colorado Wildlife Center stepped in immediately and provided the necessary care. They truly go above and beyond when others can't or won't." - Emily S.
During a [wildlife emergency], the Northern Colorado Wildlife Center guided me through every step, ensuring the best outcome for a distressed fawn I discovered." - Michael K.
As a wildlife enthusiast, I often come across unique and unconventional wild animals in need. Other facilities were hesitant to accept them due to their uncommon species, but the NCWC gladly opened their doors.
