White Tank Mountains Conservancy

White Tank Mountains Conservancy is a 501(c) nonprofit organization, created in 2014.  Its mission is to inspire all to learn about, connect, protect, and act to conserve, sustain, and enjoy the White Tank Mountains. Its vision is to ensure that conservation, development, and recreation coexist in and around the mountains for generations to come.

WTMC is dedicated to protecting the wildlife corridors and extraordinary biodiversity that make the White Tank Mountains so special. Through its work, WTMC strives to keep these treasured mountains alive and wild - for the benefit of wildlife, nature, and humans.

Providing a model for other communities, WTMC is unique in the nature of its work and its collaborative, science-based approach. In a rapidly developing region, WTMC proactively promotes sustainable development around the mountains and uses science and data to inform conservation strategies and priorities.  WTMC also collaborates with landowners and land-use-decision-makers around the mountains to encourage the thoughtful integration of conservation into their future land-use plans.

WTMC advocates for solutions, recognizing that development is inevitable but that it can be sustainable and paired with conservation.
