We come from all walks of life. One of us was the first ever Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights at the USDA. Another is a VP of Resiliency. Still another is a development director for a national monument. We have PhDs in sustainability or have so much experience we are now known as a habitat systems scientist. We live across the US and Canada. We love pickleball and playing with our kids. We're studying to be environmental attorneys or enjoying doing a few things post-retirement.
We are the Earth Gives Board of Directors.
Many of us have seen the early start of this nationwide effort to build a community of earth givers - people who not only pivot some of their generosity to climate and environmental nonprofits, but also begin to embrace the identity of an earth giver. That means how we consume (or not), embracing volunteer opportunities, small shifts in our lives, including how we vote.
2% of all generosity going to climate and environmental nonprofits is simply not enough to protect our families and their futures.
