Inviting pollinators!

There is no one way to tackle the climate crisis. There are many.

We created Earth Gives Day to help you find the one, or the many, that work on the parts of the solution that most speak to you. STEM education, regenerative farming, electrification, urban forest, land conservancy, wildlife protection, preserving and protecting land, water and the air we breathe, a circular economy, sustainable infrastructure. Whatever you choose, whatever you learn here, it is simply a start.

Just as bees play different roles in the process of pollination to eventually have us enjoy the products of their work, there are a variety of roles for us in support of our most amazing colony on earth.

Workers

You would be amazed at the nonprofit team members, supporters,  and volunteers who roll up their sleeves every day to help us inhabit this one special planet. From mountains to beaches, boardrooms to courtrooms and places in between, they are a nearly invisible ecosystem working on our behalf.

Drones

Earth Gives invites partners to help us tell the world about Earth Gives Day and the amazing work of the nonprofit community. Key partners can make all the difference in the world. Opportunities include Prize Fund donors, Raffle Prize package donors, in-kind media and marketing support, and match fund contributors. Let's build a buzz together.

A Queen

These are the investors, donors and sponsors that make it all happen. Whether you want to contribute to the scaling and community-building of this effort, sponsor a "Power Hour" program in 2023, set up and brand a Prize Fund that is used to gamify giving, or something else, you're welcome to our hive to share your ideas and learn more.

"Despite the array of groups and organizations working on global warming, we are still missing a key element: the movement. Along with the hard work of not-for-profit lobbyists, environmental lawyers, green economists, sustainability-minded engineers, and forward-thinking entrepreneurs, it's going to take the inspired political involvement of millions of Americans to get our country on track to solving this problem." - Bill McKibben

Seed Sponsors & Prize Fund partners, WELCOME

Seed Sponsors

Support the ecosystem of environmental nonprofits working in local towns or on global initiatives. These 501c3 organizations are in neighborhood classrooms, boardrooms and courtrooms, out on the oceans, cleaning up beaches, searching for answers in science labs, and building the future through electrifying our communities.

Of the $499.33 billion donated in 2022, just 3% went to environmental/animal nonprofits. That's a decrease of 1.6%. If you take out animals, what is left for climate, the environment, and climate justice is likely just 2%.*

A giving day to inspire individual gifts matters. Individual giving makes up the largest contribution category at 64%. Through a fun, easy, and proven technology platform engaging individual donors, we can build a community of "earth givers". Where they give dollars, and time, how they spend their consumer dollars, use their voice, and their votes all matter.

Businesses

Companies can sponsor the giving day in alignment with your ESG measurements, to lower costs, to infuse fun with your employee teams, and to in front of hikers, skiers, climbers, nature lovers, families, and the consumers seeking to spend their money in more discerning ways. Your investment here doesn't just help one nonprofit, it helps potentially hundreds of nonprofits working in every area of climate and the environment. And it "compounds interest" to welcome the others. (Add a sponsorship package link or two - full package and power hour)

Prize Fund Philanthropists

Prize Fund philanthropists - giving days "gamify" the process to inspire individual donors to invest in the issues they care about. These prize fund dollars get added to the money raised by those 501c3 groups that worked hard to bring in the most dollars or the most donors. This creates the viral nature of the giving day. Investments at all levels are meaningful. A $5,000 investment and up may earn you a branded "leaderboard" on the giving day site. As with matching fund contributions, these dollars are held fully and distributed to the appropriate recipients.

Partners

Partners are invited to co-create and ideate on a number on innovative opportunities - from sustainable swag to media and messaging, to community building and beyond.

Mix & Match

Mix & Match are for those who like to do a little bit of everything. Some investors might love to be both a sponsor and offer up a Prize Fund investment. Prize Fund "leaderboard" can be tailored to your company's interest areas and branded as such. Ideas include, STEM Education leaderboard made possible by XYZ Company. So what are you interested in? What impacts the areas where you have offices? What could you rally your employees around for a team-building project? Is it wildlife, ocean conservation, electrification, or regenerative agriculture? Overall leaderboards and targeted leaderboards help drive more attention, and thus more investment, into the nonprofits.
