Climate education is a powerful but overlooked climate solution, with a peer-reviewed study finding that education can reduce a student's CO2 emissions by 2.86 tons annually, surpassing projected reductions by EVs or offshore wind.
SubjectToClimate (StC) is a nonprofit that empowers K-12 educators to easily and effectively teach about climate change, justice, and action. Our free platform provides lesson plans, educational resources, and professional development to make climate education accessible and actionable for teachers across all subjects and grade levels K-12. In doing so, we help students connect classroom learning to real-world climate solutions, enabling them to become future stewards of our planet.
Since launching in 2021, we've reached over 900,000 users, curated 2,800+ vetted educational resources, and launched localized Climate Education Hubs in 9 states: CA, CT, IL, ME, MI, NJ, NY, OR, and WI.
