What is a Fundraiser?

Earth Goves would not be possible without the support of so many who are dedicated to strengthening our community’s nonprofits and the mission that help our communities thrive. It's because of the many "earth givers" and community partners that we are able to continue doing what we do.

How to create a Fundraiser:

Step 1: Choose an organization to support

Find a Cause or use the search bar to find your favorite organizations to raise funds for. Create Fundraisers for any of the approved Earth Gives participants. Can't find who you're looking for? Recruit them for next year and find a new mission to support!

Nonprofits must be registered by September 1, 2024

Step 2: Click "Learn More"

Learn more about organization's. Read their bios, view programs, media galleries, see testimonials and what they're raising money for. It would be important to know that so you can frame your own page and storytelling appropriately.

Step 3: Create a Fundraiser

Sign in or "create account". Follow those prompts. It will include a login and password process. In subsequent years, you will be able to log right back in and quickly create a new fundraiser.

Step 4: Personalize, set your goal, add images

Using the editing tool on the left side, create a Fundraiser Title, a fund raising goal for the organization that you believe you can achieve…with a bit of a s-t-r-e-t-c-h, and upload a logo. Tell us your Fundraising story! Why you? Why this nonprofit? Make your profile FUN or useful, engaging, meaningful - whatever works with your purpose. Click "Save Fundraiser" when you are ready to publish your page.

Step 5: Share it - over and over again!

Fundraisers are only successful when they are shared! Share the fundraising page to all social platforms. Copy your Fundraiser's unique URL to share with family, friends, and other contacts via email. Use your social circlesto gain additional awareness.

Do it at the start, on weekends, and especially around "Power Hour" programs and the week of Earth Gives Day leading to October 5th. Your nonprofit could win Prize Fund dollars for bringing in the most donors or dollars.
